1. A pouch of substrate
The heart of the Wallflower system! The plants grow in a pouch, on a vertical plane. This pouch contains both natural substrate, in which the plants take root, and a network of cotton wicks, which assure the distribution of water from the water reserve to the roots.
Pre-planted pouches sold separately - see product range

2. A plastic container supporting the pouch and the water reserve
The pouch is suspended in the plastic container, the cotton wicks are emerged in the water reserve, which can be filled via the side of the frame with a water bottle or a small watering can with a spout. An indicator is situated on the side, to show the water level at all times. This indicator signals when the water reserve needs to be filled. The system can be self-sufficient and left alone up to 10 days if the conditions of exposure and irrigation listed in the product manual are respected.
